Well Jimi, why don't you explain why Obama would vote down this pipeline project. I'm sure you can do it in one sentence.

Obama's original stand was to wait until the environmental study was done so that he could make an informed judgement. Congressional Republicans have forced him in the spending bill (which had nothing to do with the pipeline except this part) to make the decision before the study was done for the sake of being able to lie and spin this for political points. You are falling into their sceme of lieing and distorting.

We should wait and see what the environmental impact study shows, he may still approve it, but I still think it is a bad idea.

BTW, you do realize, don't you, that the steal for the proposed pipeline wiould have come from India and not American steel mills ?  Indian pipe has proven to fail in past pipelines.

So, back to point, what's in it for our country ? - not much in the way of jobs, imported inferior steel, finished product leaving the country while the toxic byproducts stay here , and maybe the most serious, the threat to the Ogallola aquifer . In other words, we take all the risk and all we get for it in return is a bunch of toxic gunk.

The oil companies, however would make billions   The Oil greezed palms of the Congressional Republicans would get millions.

So, the real quiestion is. why would YOU be for it ?
