This is true. You will not prevent a woman from having an abortion no matter how many laws you pass. I personally wouldn't like to see us go back to the way it was prior to 1973 when women were dying from unsafe abortions. Dying! It's worth it to you all for a pregnant woman - who clearly doesn't want the child - to die for it? That's what will happen if Roe v Wade is overturned (which will never happen, btw).

Parents are simply not having the right conversations with their children about how conception happens. I guess talking about abstinence and hoping that's what they choose is enough for some parents, which is completely unrealistic.

And up to a certain point, the fetus/baby isn't viable outside the host (mother's womb), so in that sense, no it's not exactly an independent, living person.

I'm so tired of the religious right screaming about abortion, but not considering what the baby will probably be facing once born. Let's see, a mother that clearly didn't want to be pregnant in the first place probably will not want to keep the baby; if she does, the child will probably be abused. The only other option is the foster care system, and we all know how well that works in this country. No abuse or neglect. Roll Eyes

It's time for the pro-choicers and pro-lifers to stop this useless fighting and come together to focus completely on preventing unwanted pregnancies.
