Reply to "Calling All Cat Lovers..."

All of the animals that we have had have either been abused, neglected, abandoned, hurt or anything else mean that a Human person can do to an animal. My oldest animal, my cat, Baby, just passed away a few months ago at the age of 20, our Pekingese that was almost 12 years old, died, after suddenly developing heart problems. and our little Maltese had to be put to sleep because he had a stroke and was paralyzed on one side and in pain. I was in the hospital but I had to make the decison as to whether to put him to sleep or not. I'm glad I was not home to see him, he was crying out in pain. My son's big Great Dane was over 7 feet tall when he stood up on his hind legs, he weighed 132 lbs. and was solid black, with big brown eyes. He got sick immediately and died from kidney failure. Our vet said that kidney failure is 2nd in large breed animals second only to trauma. Then, my son called and said a woman had come to the police department, there was a dog running in the middle of Pine St. in the traffic, and would I mind coming and picking this little dog up and keeping it in the back yard for a couple of days? of course, I did not know how to say NO. So needless to say, that dog, Belle, is now living here with us. Our pure bred Siamese was dumped next to and into a dumpster with her siblings on Darby Drive. Some one spotted them and I ended up taking that kitten in, it was so little i could hold it in the palm of my hand. Then the last cat, starting staying on my front porch sleeping in the chair for almost 2 weeks, so I thought that she had just gotten lost and would find her way home soon. But, my son started feeding her, and next thing I know, we had another cat. So, every animal I have ever had has been given to us, came to our house, or we ran across it abandoned somewhere. I am a magnet for these types of animals. I swear I believe they all go out and tell all the others, "Hey there is a family over there , that will take you in and take really good care of you until it's time to go to the Big Dog or Cat Pound in the sky. LOL. I can't help it. Thanks to all you that do the same thing.
