Reply to "Can Democrats answer this simple question?"

First let me say (although there will be some that will not believe it) I consider myself an independent voter who will vote for the person and not the party, who will vote based upon a person's stances and positions rather than strictly vote for a party.  I am also a Conservative Christian, for the most part, and the ones that usually get my vote are the ones who support platforms and issues that are conservative and/or Christian leaning.  Because our nation is not a theocracy nor should it ever be, nor would I want it to ever be, I look more for someone that is in favor of freedom of Religion or not to be but my support for a candidate usually is a composite of things and issues.  Of late I have to admit that no Democrat has come close to meeting the issues and positions that I find important but I keep listening and hope that there is some rationality and reason within the party for I do believe a two party system is important for our Nation.

The above said I find that more and more, today, it seems that Democrats, or those leaning Democrat, have one reason to vote Democrat and that reason is to vote against a Republican.  Most demonize, unrealistically Republicans just because they are Republican and for no other good reason.  I wanted to give the democrats, on the forum or that happen by, to provide reasons to vote Democrat that had no basis in anything at all Republican.  In other words provide valid reasons that someone should support a Democrat candidate based upon positions they take.  What are those positions?  If any reason has, as a component of it, anything to do with Donald Trump, or anything to do with anything Republican then I consider that a disqualified for an answer.  I want to see if Democrats stand for anything, any issue, other than not being a Republican.
