Christian Voters Beware - Be Careful Who YOU Elect!

Hi to all my Forum Friends,

BE CAREFUL WHO YOU ELECT - it may come back to bite you!  When Roman Catholic John Kennedy was elected president - he did not say of the election and Roman Catholicism, "This is about me!"

Yet, that is exactly what has happened in Houston, Texas.
Mayor Annise Parker, an open lesbian, had stated in an earlier public discussion that "This is about me" when explaining the need for a new LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) ordinance.   The controversial LGBT ordinance, approved on an 11-6 vote Wednesday evening, gives homosexuals special rights in terms of employment and housing -- and contains language that could lead to criminal prosecutions.

Texas Values reports that at the council meeting on Wednesday, leading local African-American pastors "walked out of the council chambers after homosexual advocates were given priority placement for testimony at the beginning of the meeting, while the mayor and some council members voted to keep the pastors further down on the list."

Saenz (Jonathan Saenz of Texas Values) contends council members, including the openly lesbian mayor, ignored voters in their decision.   "Over 110,000 people sent email messages to the city council opposing this ordinance," he informs OneNewsNow. "  That's more than the 98,000 votes that the mayor got in her last election.

This is a good example of why we encourage folks to think long and hard BEFORE you VOTE.

And, this is a great example of why Christian believers MUST become more involved - MUST become active voters - MUST vote their Christian consciences - and MUST stop being passive and start sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ more actively with the world (Matthew 29:19-20, Acts 1:8, Mark 16:15 - more commonly known as the Great Commission).

Please notice that the graphics below states "Christian influence" -- NOT Christian control.   We are not seeking a theocratic government, only one containing an equal degree of Christian influence to balance the secular society's influence.

Christians do not want a Christian theocracy in government.  However, Secularist DEMAND a Secular theocracy in government.   And, that is why Christians must become more active in the political arena.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
