Contendah, my Friend, we Christians most often use Scritpure verses or passages to support our contentions.   But, I suppose if one is a liberal legalistic Christian -- the only support to be found is from the ACLU!   Good luck!

Bless your little ACLU heart!

Oh, horse patooties, Bill,

Anyone--except a dimbulb like you-- who read my post intelligently (which YOU assuredly did not) could easily discern that I was not relying upon the ACLU as a source of my personal religious beliefs. I simply cited that organization and its religious associates (those over 30 religious groups who co-issued the "Joint Statement" to which I referred) as a reliable source of information on religious activities that are constitutionally permissible in public schools.

And since you have followed my activity on this forum, you surely have noticed that in scores of my posts, I have cited scripture to support my positions on numerous issues discussed here. Thus your silly-ass contentions that my "only support...is from the ACLU" and that I am unable to support my beliefs except through reliance on the ACLU are so outrageously and demonstrably erroneous as to be downright laughable.

You are avoiding the information in the "Joint Statement" because it so powerfully contradicts the simplistic complaint that you and other ignorant theocrats so often blither out, namely that "They have taken God and prayer out of the schools."  That assertion is false on its face, as proven by the numerous CONSTITUTIONALLY PERMISSIBLE religious practices identified and described in the "Joint Statement," but you adamantly refuse to acknowledge that because it interferes with the persecution complex that you have constructed around your amateurish interpretation of the Establishment Clause and its application in government venues. Small-mindedness is the retreat of the determinedly bullheaded.  I have to conclude that you are irretrievably mired in confusion and delusion of your own wishful making, Bill.
