I'm a Republican, and generally against the gov't funding things people should buy themselves.

But. Birth control and abortion funding is a legitimate use of the govt's money.

I once shot down another Republican who was against it by asking him: Would you rather fund a $300 abortion or a Million Dollar welfare kid?
