Reply to "Creationist Fallacies"

I don't necessarily believe in CrossPosting but given the statement above, to start off this thread, I feel it appropriate so I will re-post it here as well as having it in the "Dear God" topic.

GBRK Posted today, Sunday at 11:03PM under the DEAR GOD topic the following directed to DF or NotShallowNotSlim:

Well we can all rest knowing that you have no preconceived bias or prejudges at all.  Are you falling back into that same rut that many non-believers do where they cannot simply argue the merits of their own belief system but have to retort to demeaning those who believe differently?  Can we be respectful enough not to use insults or insulting terms to apply to those who choose to believe in God or some Religion?  They have just as valid and good of reasons to believe the way they do as you do the way you do yet again you seem incapable of recognizing this.  Someone who didn't know better might consider that arrogance

It would be comical that number of times that this becomes consistant with some of the atheist and non-believers if not for the fact that I fully believe these people have a firm conviction and belief that they are so superior and do believe just what they type.  It's not anything new though ... consider the following

Acts 17:18 (NLT)
18 He also had a debate with some of the Epicurean and Stoic
philosophers. When he told them about
Jesus and his resurrection, they said, “What’s this babbler
trying to say with these strange ideas he’spicked up?”
Others said, “He seems to be preaching about some foreign gods.”

and

1 Corinthians 1:18-25 (NLT)
18 The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed
for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very
power of God.
19 As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise
and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”
20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars,
and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom
of this world look foolish.
21 Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never
know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish
preaching to save those who believe.
22 It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven.
And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom.
23 So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are
offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.
24 But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and
Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
25 This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human
plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of
human strength.

Yeah the times have changed but the players remain the same.
