I've been EDCing constantly for almost 40 years, either as a civilian or an LEO. Even when an LEO I maintained a valid CCW permit. Believe it it not, in some states my CCW permit 'carried more weight' than my badge.

The biggest issue with 'Constitutional Carry' is the lack of CCW permit reciprocity between states. I have an Alabama CCW permit. It is honored in every state in which I currently travel, or am likely to. In some states, mere possession of a concealed firearm (on person or in vehicle) is a misdemeanor (Alabama, for example). However, in others (Florida, for example), doing so is a FELONY. While I understand the idea behind Constitutional Carry, I prefer to keep my CCW permit.
