But I meant what I said above, Iraqian leaders have come out in the News for a LONG time now asking us to leave. They SAID they could handle it by themselves now.

But look at the benefits they keep getting while we are still there. Compare that to at least 30-40 Cops around the clock right in your own little neighborhood protecting you. Guess they like that part of it.


The Iraqi leaders haven't asked us to leave. The "testy" remarks from Maliki are in response to people saying they aren't doing what they are supposed to be doing. They don't want us to leave YET. Yes, they are tired of us being there, who wouldn't be tired of military from another country being everywhere in your country? But they know that for now it is necessary.
As far as being over there for oil. Yeah? Oil like it or not is an essential for our country's life to continue as we know it. The Military is here to protect our interests. I could just imagine the MAJOR complaining if there was gas at $8 a gallon because we didn't want to go into Iraq.
K S I know you say you talk to some soldiers who are over there. I can give you names of hundreds who are over there now also that do not agree with what you say your soldiers are saying...
