Yes, many centuries ago, the Roman Catholic church did instigate the Crusades and Inquisitions. Link
First, in August 1096, the Catholic Church under Pope Urban II launched the first of its Crusades (a.k.a. Holy Wars) or military expeditions against Islam (or those of the Muslim faith). Although most Crusades failed in their aim, countless unarmed Muslims and Jews were murdered by Crusaders during the Crusades that ended in 1270.
Second, the Roman Catholic Church instituted the Inquisition to eradicate heresy or opposition to Catholicism, beginning in 1184. In May 1232, Pope Gregory IX instituted the first Inquisition with permanently appointed judges to try heretics for heresy.
However, these were not done in the name of Jesus Christ; nor would any Christian church do anything to support or justify those evil actions.

The Bible clearly teaches the fallacy of this statement. The only "universal mind and law" which governs human beings is God; and we are not part of God. God is preexisting, eternal, and immortal. We humans are created beings. We were created in our mother's womb -- but, until then, we did not exist. We are eternal; for all humans will live eternally. The only difference is which eternal destination we choose: heaven or hell. Those are our only two choices -- and, we, each, individually, must choose where we will live eternally.
We will have an immortal body also. Those who choose heaven will have an immortal body similar to that of Jesus Christ. Those who chose hell; well, I am not sure what their bodies will be like -- only that they will be eternal and immortal.
So, to say that we all share the same path and will share the same destination in the end -- is blatantly false.

We are not all One. He, God, is the One -- and we believers are His adopted children; brought to Him through Jesus Christ. Those who are not believers have nothing to do with Him.
Is everyone an individualized cell in the body of humanity? NO! All believers are members of the body of Jesus Christ, the church. We are also called to be the Bride of Christ (Revelation 19:7-9). Yet, this is only for those who have, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9) -- become born again believers (John 3:3).
All non-believers -- and that includes atheists, secularists, New Agers -- and all others who follow a different God, a different Jesus Christ, the god of this world -- have no part in Him. We are told in Romans 8:9, "However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him."
We are told in Romans 8:11 that the Holy Spirit dwells within those who believe; He seals us (2 Corinthians 1:22, Ephesians 1:13, Ephesians 4:30) as belonging to God. "But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him." Those are the atheists, secularists, New Agers, and all other non-believers.

Yes, that is the desire of Satan; that all churches will be corrupted by New Age teaching; but, I am sorry, my Friend, there is no way that God would allow that to happen. I will admit that it sometimes appears that way; with the world becoming so secular, so New Age. However, we have this assurance to fall back upon:
1 John 4:4-6, "You are from God, little children (speaking of and to the believers), and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world (i.e. atheists, secularists, New Agers, etc.), and the world listens to them. We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error."
Who is "he that is in the world"? It is none other than our old adversary -- Satan. And, even though he does not yet know it -- he has already lost the war.
Cerridwen, your body may well be the temple of god, or the gods. However, it is not the temple of God. That honor lies only with true Christian believers (1 Corinthians 3:16).
My Friend, I implore you, I plead with you, I beg you -- put aside all of your New Age religion; all your false gods and false teachings -- and get to know the only true God. You will be eternally happy you did.

"And the prayer of faith shall heal the sick, and our Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven." James 5:15.
The prayer of faith in an unconditional belief in both the ability and the desire of Spirit to hear and answer. This works because it is spoken from a place of faith, belief, and knowingness that what is being spoken is already done in the mind of the "one" who is doing the treatment, and that it is already so in the "person's mind" they are treating. We are constructively creating the circumstances "we choose" by giving direction to the "law of mind."
The trinity is soul, mind, spirit. In Genesis 2:7, we ALL took the breath of life (oxygen) into our nostrils and became a living soul. Our mind was formed which is the "tree of knowledge of good and evil", which is our choice to make, and the "fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith. Galatians 5:22.
As we align our belief system with spiritual truth and make choices in our lives based on TRUTH, we experience lasting joy.
So Bill, we all have a soul, we all have a mind, and we all want good into our life.
To be an evolved soul, we judge no one, condemns no one, but realizes that all are on the road of experience, seeking the same goal which is love, joy, peace, etc. Mr. Bill, have I missed the point, or are you worshipping a false god. I beg you Bill, put away your false god and follow the real god of love, joy, peace, goodness because you are now being judged by the way you are judging others.
