Thats right, only they spell it Phenix City for some odd reason.
We did have storms but almost all the damage was across the river in Columbus. I did visit one of the neighborhoods that sustained damage and saw was a span of about 6 or 8 houses on top of a hill that were destroyed. They were nice 2 story brick houses in one of the better parts of town. The top floor of one house was resting in pieces across the street in their neighbor's front yard. The miracle was there were no deaths which might not surprise you but if you saw the pictures you would be shocked that no one was killed. One house completely imploded. There is a frame and walls but no insides.
