Please explain why a bad idea. Do you really believe the gas companies need to take down a refinery for inspection or upgrades before every major holiday? Why does gas go up before the demand i.e. the high driving season. There is not a supply problem of oil, it is at the refineries where they are artificially restricting the supply.
