Reply to "Mad Youth Football Parents"

I played Dixie Youth softball when I was a kid, and it was a rule that every child had to play at least so many innings each game. Is football different? I haven't coached Dixie Youth, but I have coached soccer and T-Ball at the YMCA and the rules there were that the coach had to insure that each child played an equal amount of time. You just rotated the kids out (in soccer) every few minutes and in t-ball, every inning.

I agree with Bamafnatk, they should have a sign up day or days, with a definite cut-off. Then if there are enough kids for more than 1 team, make more than 1 team. As an aside, it was my understanding back in the day that Dixie Youth was not to be associated with the school, but rather with the community. So a community could have more than one team, yes?
