Sports should be fun & learning of how to win & loose. At this age not about making a Supper Star out of a few .

AMEN!!! It is my son that plays linebacker. I agree. I thought when we got this many kids signed up that they would give him some down time. I am absolutely for it! However, that has not happened "yet". But we have just played the first game - the past two years we didnt have a line and only 1/2 the players so him staying in wasnt really an option or a problem. I am NOT BRAGGING this is just to tell the facts so we get honest opinions! But he just does not complain he does his job well and they want him in all the time. Like I said several times He is 7 yrs old 4'9" 115. MOST KIDS dont want his job they dont even want to hit against him in practice. most kids/parents want that running back position "super star" etc. The coaches dont want to put 1st years up against a returning line because it might turn them off getting hit by boys this size before they get the fundamentals down. I know our coach loves the kids and I beleive it will work out. County football is about winning though. I know the boys love to win, but I want everyone to get the experience at this age too.
