Reply to "Making a 'deal' with Satan?"

Well of course atheists don't make deals with satan because we know satan doesn't exist. I don't think this question was even for the atheists to answer. My question, and I am serious, if you believe in a god, isn't he the big kahuna-your go to guy-the all powerful-the one large and in charge-the one that's gonna take you to heaven-the one that loves you so much? If you say yes, then why would you turn on him and deal with his competition instead of "making a deal" with him? Isn't he the one all christians claim "make it happen" for them? I am very serious, I'd love to know the thinking behind a believer considering "making a deal with satan".
