Two that come to mind readily. One of those I'm not going to mention out of respect for those involved and as I don't spread gossip about people. The other is no one and it was an accidental discharge due impact of the weapon on a relatively hard surface or soft surface if the weapon has a faulty mechanism or safety. this could especially be the case if the person looked down and tried to catch the weapon as it fell because they were too comfortable being around them. Of course a gun going off that close to a person after impacting during a free fall makes it hard to know which way you need to go to get out of the way.
