Reply to "N.C. school bans US Flag..."

Yesterday, when my kids were getting ready for school, my 13 year old son came up the hall wearing a tee shirt with an American Flag across the front. He rarely wears that shirt, in fact the last time I remember him wearing it was on July 4th. He wore it with the knowledge of the events that happened on that day. I'm proud he was able to grasp that and I saw it as his way of either support or honor for his country, nothing more or nothing less.

I remember the Times Daily issuing a decal the week or two, around or about, after 9/11 of the American flag with the Statue of Liberty and also how it was next to impossible to find anything (i.e. car magnets, flags, lapel pins) with the American flag because they sold out so quickly.

What disturbs me more than the fact that an American child wants to wear a shirt is wrong against the flag code is I hate when you see American Flags are made in China. I think they should all be made here in the USA.
