Palin is playing the left like a she's hooked a large mouth bass.

She reminds me of the myth of Hercules and Antaeus. As the son of the earth god, Terran, Antaeus drew his strength from touching the earth. Hercules defeated him by keeping him in the air.

Palin draws strength from the jibs, jives and attacks from the left. The public is attracted to her for that very reason.

But, on the left, there are no Hercules.
