Reply to "Rain"

When I was an LEO I would give 'non-compliant' driver's every opportunity to turn their lights on when it was raining. I'd flash my headlights, turn my blue lights on, etc. Most of the time the latter got them to comply. However, if that didn't work, and I had to resort to a 10-81, get out in the rain, and get soaked because of their ignorance and stupidity; they received a citation.

If you haven't heard about the multiple-vehicular fiery accident on I-65 that occured around 2:30 yesterday afternoon, see the link below. There were multiple fatalities. Some of the more detailed pics have been removed since last night. We were on our way back from GS yesterday. A normal 6+ hour drive took almost 9 hours due to the EXTREMELY HEAVY RAIN from TS Claudette. We 'missed' being in the before-mentioned accident by less than an hour. All north and southbound traffic from I-65 was re-routed to US Hwy 31. Even being ahead of that, we still never exceeded 50mph for most of the way from Montgomery to Cullman. The number of drivers observed with NO HEADLIGHTS was staggering.
