If a woolly mammoth can be cloned from tissue that is thousands of years old, could not some cellular material from the Gipper be found with which to clone up an exact genetic duplicate? Then, with guidance from such operatives as Karl Rove, Roger Ailes, and Grover Norquist, the 21st Century Reagan clone could be carefully guided and educated to become a Reagan who would out-Reagan Reagan himself. Reagan Redux would be steered away from any early associations with the liberal causes that the Gipper once contaminated himself with. Thus, in the prime of his life, he would be ready for anointing as the Conservative to End All Conservatives and thrust upon the political stage all primed to energetically peddle the same old tired proverbs and flawed doctrines espoused by his genetic predecessor.
Of course Nancy Reagan's permission would be required before the parent cells could be harvested. Assuming her astrologer approves, she should be willing.
