It's quite obvious that Yo Estoy is a non-Hispanic. If she was a Latina, she would use the moniker "Yo Soy de Russellvilla" as this is the proper use of the verb "to be" (ser, not estar). Before you get all up in my grill, know that I am a former Spanish teacher and a lover of all things Latino, especially things like Javier Bardem and Antonio Banderas.
And what's it to you if she is married to a "Mexican"??? You know you did not use that word as a term of endearment. Do you even know anybody who wasn't born in this country? And I don't mean Canada or the UK. How ignorant that you would think that anyone who speaks Spanish is here illegally.
I know several "Mexicans" and Costa Ricans and Columbians and even a wonderful family from Spain and I am proud to call them my friends. I do know that they are here legally and are proud to live, work and pay taxes JUST LIKE YOU AND ME.
