What does the Alabama football program have to do with any of that you mentioned?

Best I think the poster was attempting to say that our priorities are all screwed up because we like football down here. Since major college athletics are funded almost exclusively by private donations/ticket sales TV revenue etc. the post misses the mark. Similar to another post blaming "anti government no tax people" who apparently believes that if one opposes wasteful spending then one is automatically against all government spending. Both posts make attempts at sarcasm both fail.
