Our economy is too sucky for the government to pay for millions of illegals education, health care, living expenses, etc.
Since they don't pay taxes into the system, why should they benefit? The churches can moan all they want too about a helping hand and open hearts, bu they won't be paying for the costs.
When the Bible spoke of caring for neighbors, it meant NEIGHBORS, as in people in the neighborhood. Friends and family. Not people who moved in on mass to get freebies.
Caring for strangers was to offer food and rest as they traveled on their way. If they moved into the neighborhood and contributed to the whole, then they became neighbors. They also were expected to share in all the work and all the hardships as well as the benefits.
Compassion and being taken for a sucker are not the same things.
