Reply to "WORKERS MURDER NEWBORNS"

Hi all,

First, let me say that on this issue of abortion -- I stand 100% with Vic and Jennifer.  I find abortion, especially late-term abortions, to be barbaric and I do believe they are taking the life of an innocent child.  In most circles -- that would be called murder.

Jimi writes, "Republicans care about fetuses; Democrats care about babies."

I am not sure how Jimi defines each of these.  But, to me, both are human lives which began at conception -- and who deserve to live.

Firenze, you asked about Jim Kouri and NewsWithViews, saying, "I am not familiar with 'News With Views.'  The article contains a glaring error.  Demerol is not stronger than morphine; however, one could OD on either.  I would prefer to see an article on this subject from an AP writer.  I don't know who these medical personnel were, but Demerol reaches a threshold, morphine does not.  Morphine is also the drug of choice for a non-chronic pain event at this time.  It sounds like a house of horrors."

Jim Kouri has been writing on forums, blogs, and news web sites for a long time.   If you recall, for about three years I wrote on The Conservative Voice.  Jim also wrote articles there.  The Conservative Voice was begun in 2004 by a Conservative Christian politician named Nathan Tabor -- and grew to a readership of over 250,000 readers.  Nathan is originally from Alabama, a small town south of Huntsville.  He lives in North Carolina and, in 2004, ran for Congress in North Carolina.   He is now Chair for the Republican party in North Carolina.

Several years ago, with this new responsibility, Nathan sold The Conservative Voice to Townhall.Com which is a large conservative web site for political news, commentary, humor, and community.  NewsWithViews.Com is a similar news and commentary web site.

The Conservative Voice brought the voices of well known conservatives, such as Jim Kouri, together with the thoughts and ideas of conservatives from coast to coast.   About five or six years ago, Nathan, who is on my Friends Ministry eNewsletter mail list, asked me to start posting my articles on The Conservative Voice.  In three years, I published about 150 to 200 articles.

When Nathan sold The Conservative Voice to Townhall.Com, for a while Jim was also writing for Townhall.Com.  He may still be; I am not sure.  But, when Townhall.Com bought The Conservative Voice, they chose to go with all in-house and/or syndicated columnists and cut the rest of us loose.  Jim Kouri once offered to get me published there -- but, without Nathan's personality guiding The  Conservative Voice, I chose not to accept Jim's offer.

Firenze, as you wisely surmised -- Jim Kouri is not in the medical or pharmaceutical field.   But, he most certainly has the knowledge and ability to write about abortion and it illegal aspects.   This is his bio:

Jim Kouri, CPP is currently fifth vice-president of the National Association of Chiefs of Police.  He's the former chief at a New York City housing project in Washington Heights nicknamed "Crack City" by reporters covering the drug war in  the 1980s.  He's also served on the National Drug Task Force and trained police and security officers throughout the  country.

He writes for many police and crime magazines including Chief of Police, Police Times, The Narc Officer, Campus Law Enforcement Journal, and others.  He's appeared as on-air commentator for over 100 TV and radio news and talk shows including Oprah, McLaughlin Report, CNN Headline News, MTV, Fox News, etc.  His book Assume The Position is available.

Abortion in America since 1973 has taken on the massive proportions of mass murder, i.e., genocide.  It could be considered genocide against babies.  With over 50 MILLION babies killed by abortion, in America alone, since 1973 -- it is infanticide.  And, it is just as abominable as the holocaust and all other methods of mass murder and extermination.

People will argue, "What about the mother's rights to her own body?"  To which I can only answer with another question, "What about the baby's rights to its own body?"

The mother and father chose to have unprotected sex -- causing the pregnancy.  The child did not choose to be conceived.   However, once it was -- it has rights also.  And the main right it has is the right to live.

Then, folks will come back with, "But, what about the mother's health?  What about rape and incest?"

True, those are issues with which we must deal.  But, the mother's health, rape, and incest -- all combined -- represent less than 3% of the total abortions in America.  The other 97% of abortions are done for convenience or are the preferred birth control method.  The approximately 1% represented by mother's health does constitute a valid reason for an abortion.  This often comes down to choosing between the life of the mother or the life of the baby.  This is an understandable decision and no one can fault a couple for choosing the mother's life -- for they can still attempt to have other children.

However, the less than 2% represented by rape and incest -- can be better solved through adoption.

But, if giving up the less than 3% would save the lives of the 97% -- I would vote for it.  That is about 970,000 babies who are given the gift of life -- instead of the sentence of death.  Yes, as much as it would grieve me -- I would swap the lives of the 30,000 to save the lives of the 970,000.  That is better than murdering the entire ONE MILLION babies -- per year -- in America alone.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
