I agree, but the troops is going to start getting in the mindset of why stick my neck out to capture someone when they are on the field of battle and people dies there. They will be more forceful and if there is even a hint of a weapon they will shoot first. They wont be thinking capturing and then let the dying bleeding heart liberals turn them back out onto the battle field to shoot at us again. I am sorry, but this policy has put every solder at greater risk.

I'd be somewhat less comfortable in a gunfight if I had to wait for the JAG to tell me I could shoot someone. I'm of the, "Don't leave a living enemy behind you" frame of mind. But as I'm a retired dinosaur, perhaps that's no longer a PC philosophy.

Yes, but nowhere NEAR as many people had CB's in their cars, even in the 70's when they were all the rage, as have cell phones today. I don't know how they'll be able to tell if it's the driver or a passenger using a cell phone, but honestly, how many calls made from a moving car are NECESSARY? I mean, it wasn't long ago that if you were driving and needed to make a call, you found a pay phone. And how many times in your life have you needed to fing a pay phone when you were driving...

The officers in Ohio were told to "shoot to kill" because it was getting dark and they couldn't risk lions and tigers killing innocent citizens. Had one of those lions killed a small child, would you still feel the same way? This is ridiculous! Lions, tigers, monkeys and bears are not house pets.
