I eat deer meat,whats wrong with it? I am single and do not hunt so I depend on friends whose husbands do hunt to get deer meat every year. The roast is wonderful!
As much as I enjoy hunting, I think I would have 'shot' that one with a camera.
Where is budsfarm? The only reason this deer reached this size is because of responsible hunting practices. If the population is not controlled they could never reach this size due to not enough food source and disease from over population.
I personally don't hunt, but agree it is a needed practice to obtain a specimen of this size. I do eat the meat though.

I personally don't like deer meat. But I have a very close person in my life who hunts, and he gives EVERY deer he gets to a needy family.
Just to watch someone's face light up to the fact they are getting some meat for their dinner table is a sight to behold.
I have been hunting quite a few times in my life, but never shot anything, (I didn't even try) I would rather just watch them run and play.
