We all know they are booing attempts to use the military for social experiments and not the soldier.  We are going to have transvestites and transsexuals in the military soon and the brass will spend more time combating morale than than they will the enemy.

Who most strongly opposed the vietnam war? Who mostly held protests and yelled "baby killer" and other insults that would make a "boo" appear like a compliment? Who was doing the shoving of returning soldiers and jerking bags out of returning soldiers hands? Who was spitting on the ground at their feet? Where are some of those "famous" protesters today. I don't agree with booing a soldier, but I do agree with ronnie and have said it myself, I watched the video and they did not boo the soldier, they booed the discussion. During the last Republican presidential debate, a *** soldier named Stephen Hill asked the candidates about the recent repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Before former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) could respond, the GOP audience booed the servicemember. None of the candidates on stage rebuked the audience, allowing the booing to settle in unchallenged.

Though the moment was roundly criticized on the left and the right, one of Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s (R) newest endorsers told ThinkProgress this weekend that the he “thought it was great.”

ThinkProgress spoke with New Hampshire state Rep. Al Baldasaro (R) on Friday evening following a Perry town hall meeting in Derry. Discussing the audience’s boos, Baldasaro said the real issue was the fact that Hill divulged his sexual orientation in the first place. “I was so disgusted over that *** marine* coming out,” Baldasaro said, because now Hill’s fellow soldiers will “start getting away from him” and “start ignoring him.” Baldasaro even speculated that because Hill came out of the closet, other soldiers might not protect him when “the **** hits the fan” in battle.

You can keep beating that drum if you want. I've watched the video over and over and it is clear the soldier was not booed.  I heard ONE booooooooooo, and it was after the soldier had ask his question and it was clearly in response to the subject and not the soldier.

I have no idea what she said and haven't commented on it except to ask juan what he thought she said. You can read discussions all over the net and comments from people claiming to be deaf and able to read her lips. What they say goes from she did say it but didn't say d a m n, to she absolutely did say it, to she was talking about the way they folded the flag and was in awe (that one doesn't really make sense).  So who knows what she really said.

RP, what are you talking about? Do you have trouble understanding English? Do I need to use smaller words and shorter, simple sentences? You don't seem qualified to criticize the English usage of an educated person.
