Sen. Hagerty says Democratic lawmakers' votes are 'indefensible.'

Every Democratic lawmaker in the Senate voted against an amendment that would bar taxpayer funds from being used to fly illegal aliens to U.S. towns and cities, according to the Republican senator behind the amendment.

"Tonight every single Senate Democrat voted against my amendment that would stop Biden Admin from using taxpayer dollars to charter flights for hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from their countries directly to American towns to be resettled," Republican Tennessee Sen. Bill Hagerty tweeted early Saturday morning.

"Indefensible," he added.

Hagerty announced earlier last week that he was set to file an amendment to the appropriations bill that would "prohibit federal funds from being used to secretly fly illegal aliens from other nations directly into states across the country," according to his office’s press release.

7.2M ILLEGALS ENTERED THE US UNDER BIDEN ADMIN, AN AMOUNT GREATER THAN POPULATION OF 36 STATES

The amendment was in response to recent news stories reporting the Biden administration flew an estimated 320,000 illegal immigrants from their home nations to the U.S. in 2023.

"Let me cut through the procedural language here. I’m bringing forward a vote on a very simple question: Do you support American taxpayer dollars being used to fly illegal aliens into the United States from places like Venezuela and Haiti, into America to be settled in towns and cities near you? If so, then vote against me. Vote ‘no’ to preserve the practice of using taxpayer dollars to charter planes that move and import thousands of illegal aliens into your states," Hagerty said Friday on the floor of the Senate.

HOUSE REPUBLICANS CALL FOR BIDEN TO 'IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE' PROGRAM THAT FLEW 320K MIGRANTS INTO US CITIES

Lawmakers voted the measure down, 51-47. All Democrats voted against the amendment, but no Republicans did.

The amendment was included in the Senate’s late-night vote Friday to avoid a government shutdown. The House passed the $1.2 trillion government funding bill earlier Friday, before making its way to the Senate, where lawmakers were in a standoff on whether to vote on amendments to the bill.

"Let me explain what’s happening right now," Hagerty said on X ahead of the vote on the bill and his amendment. "Democrat Senators are afraid to take a position on Biden’s failed policies by voting on amendments to the appropriations bill. They’d rather shut down the government than take a position on President Biden’s failures."

The Senate ultimately cleared the spending bill after the midnight deadline to avert a government shutdown, following votes on a handful of Republican-backed amendments and proposals. The Senate voted 74-24 to fund the government through September, sending the bill to President Biden’s desk, which he signed Saturday.

None of the Republican-backed amendments passed. If any amendments had passed, the bill would have returned to the House, which just began a two-week recess, for review.

Hagerty’s tweet detailing how each Democrat voted against his amendment has racked up more than 30 million views as of Sunday, with critics of the Democratic lawmakers’ votes yielding condemnation online.

"This is insane!" tech billionaire Elon Musk tweeted.

"We're witnessing in real time the planned and controlled destruction of this country," former University of Kentucky swimmer and activist Riley Gaines tweeted in response.

Desperation met stupidity on the corner of bad luck and despair, and the democratic party was born.

Democrats just won in a new district in Alabama for the first time since 2002.   Trump is in trouble if even a small chunk of voters  that typically voted RED are flipping Blue over banning IVF for women wanting to have children.   Once Trump losses again, then we can finally get our old Republican party back, instead of this crazyness that Trump brought to our politics...   Old people may like banning women from having babies, but women under 40 are ****ed, and we keep seeing them flip seats to democrats in every special election since Trump lost in 2020.   Blue Wave is coming.   Thanks for overstepping GOP.  We knew you would.

'Migrant influencer' urging illegals to squat in US homes on run from authorities: report

This shows migrants ‘lack of respect’ for the US border: Chris Olivarez

The Venezuelan TikToker who went viral last month after defending illegal immigrant criminals and urging migrants to squat in U.S. homes is now on the run from immigration authorities, according to a new report.

Leonel Moreno has claimed that his family, which includes his wife and young daughter, has received $350 a week in government handouts since entering the U.S. illegally.

On top of that, he had claimed to be making $1,000 a day as a TikTok influencer. However, his account, which at one point had more than 500,000 followers, appeared inactive Wednesday morning.

His verified Instagram account, however, has about 17,000 followers and posted two videos Wednesday morning showing him waving a stack of $100 bills as he posed with his baby girl.

TIKTOKER GOES VIRAL EXPLAINING HOW ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SQUATTING LAWS

Moreno allegedly cut off his ankle monitor after receiving border parole and is now listed as an "absconder" from immigration authorities, the New York Post reported Wednesday, citing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) documents.

ICE did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Moreno reportedly received border parole in April 2022 as part of the government's Alternatives to Detention program, which is supposed to track catch-and-release migrants when there is not enough room to detain them.

Moreno previously told his audience he planned to make a business out of "invading" abandoned houses and taking them over with squatters' rights laws, then selling them for a profit.

Although he has allegedly listed his immigration sponsor as a church charity in Miami, he has reportedly been living in Columbus, Ohio. Moreno shocked the public last month when he bragged about living on the American taxpayers' dime and called on his TikTok followers to "unite" behind the suspect in a shooting in New York City's Times Square.

Illegal immigration from Venezuela has become increasingly visible as one of the country's most notorious gangs, Tren de Aragua, is also working to establish a foothold on U.S. soil.

The gang has been linked to an attack on police officers in New York City, an international cellphone robbery ring and, indirectly, the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley.

The gang has a notable presence in New York City, Florida, Texas, Illinois and Georgia, authorities have warned.

Illegal immigrant charged with raping ‘mentally incapacitated’ 14-year-old girl in Alabama

An illegal immigrant has been arrested for allegedly raping a “mentally incapacitated” 14-year-old girl in Alabama — prompting the state’s senator to rip President Biden for “aiding and abetting these monsters.”

Pablo Mendoza, 23, was arrested Monday in Enterprise, Ala., and charged with first-degree rape for the alleged Feb. 20 incident involving the underage girl, NBC 15 reported.

The 14-year-old could not consent due to her being “physically helpless or mentally incapacitated,” according to the outlet, which cited a complaint filed in the Coffee County court system.

Mendoza, who is in the US illegally, will be deported to his home country once the case is concluded, Sheriff Scott Byrd told WDHN. It was not immediately clear where the suspect is from.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) reacted to the arrest by slamming Biden.

“This is Pablo Mendoza. He is an illegal alien who was just arrested in South Alabama for raping a mentally incapacitated 14 year old girl,” he wrote on X.

Biden “is aiding and abetting these monsters,” he wrote, adding the hashtag #SayHerName.
