Thugs hijacked an American owned and American crewed cargo ship this morning.
American crew did what Americans do they not only took the ship back, they captured one hijacker and 3 others are apparently in the water waiting rescue! Wonder how they got there?

I don't know what this has to do with Obama, but good for those crew members. These situations typically end with the pirates getting the ransom they ask for. Maybe knowing that some crews are willing to fight back will be a deterrent. There was an interesting article in Vanity Fair a couple of months ago about a French crew that was hijacked by Somali pirates. I'm not into French bashing, but their reaction was so typically French that it was comical. Here's the article: Link
For one thing, unlike Mr. Obomber, they did not go around kissing some foreigner's hiney, they took matters into their own hands and did what was necessary to save themselves. I don't imagine they will be apologizing to any of the "so called terrorists" for having to kick their azzes to take back their ship either.
The French response is typical of the rest of the world. they will sit and cower and not do anything, until someone else comes along to drag them out of danger. That is one great thing about this country, the PEOPLE that make it up, not the government, know when and how to take matters into their own hands and take care of themselves. Something Obomber could learn from. Let the people take care of themselves, they don't need the government.
Don't believe everything you read either. If there were "no arms" on that ship, I am a Muslim cleric..... Big Grin
No self respecting sailor, especially these union guys, would go work sailing around that part of the world day in and day out, without some form of arms on board. They may have been in the captain's quarters, but they had some method to defend themselves.
Cnn reporting the pirates are holding the American captain hostage. He is not on board the Alabama with his crew. A US ship is enroute to help the Alabama, but may still be 2-3 hours away. One CNN reporter has spoken with one crew member on the Alabama. They did have one pirate in custody, and released him in exchange for their Captain. But, the pirates did not return the favor. Our Captain is still being held by the pirates. CNN also showed a picture of the Captain. Pray for the Alabama's safe return with all crew members on board..
