Deep, NEWS FLASH you will never enjoy the title of “the man who convinced the world” of anything.

Deep I listened to half of your offering. Carrier is just another “silly man“. This is the reason you remain uneducated. He wouldn’t qualify as a wart on the ass of a historian. He is in company with the dawkins crowd selling you people books you actually mail order to one another at some cost. lol

You know Deep there will always be doubters of Jesus being who He claimed He was but there is plainly enough circumstantial evidence that a historical Jesus existed and to attempt to go and struggle to claim he didn't only seems to reveal some other motive other than curiosity.

I mean just look at how History has been changed and even defined by Christ.  Our Time/Years are calculated back to the days/time of Christ.  Jews themselves don't doubt or deny Christ they only deny that He is who He claimed He was. 

Granted that the time period that Christ lived, walked the Earth, Died, and rose again there wasn't the best cataloging of history but enough people did write and record about Jesus that you have to just be fooling yourself to entertain anyone who says otherwise.  Even the Dead Sea Scrolls and Gnostic writings that have been since discovered reveal Jesus existed.  As to who He was and if His claims were true and valid that is a matter of Faith for each individual but to deny Christ existed is just ludicrous.  

Quite frankly, and it is a personal belief of mine ... certainly no evidence or proof but just suspicion, I think many people, many atheist or agnostics, and those that deny God seek to do so but their own inner soul/mind/essence will not allow them to.  There is and will always be that inner challenge that seeks the Creator (yeah I said that "C" Word) and yearns for God and to know God and that little void or curiosity or calling will just not go away no matter how hard you try and squelch it (or deny it).   Naturally I don't know for sure and many can deny that it is the case but you see I BELIEVE God and that God not only exist but that ALL Creation seeks to know and communicate and resolve with God/The Creator.   That which purposely tries to ignore or reject God eventually comes back to questioning ones on decision and that which is seemingly so sure doesn't resolve itself so other ways are attempted to resolve that question and find peace.

Yeah I can't prove it nor have any valid basis to say there is empirical data  because either way it went those who submitted statements or testimony regarding it would be doubted no matter what they said so it's a catch 22.  While you are at it just go ahead and doubt Caesar existed or Herod or David or Alexander or any others from pre-Christian times.  I'm sure that isn't Peter that is resting in that tomb beneath the Vatican and you can doubt Paul existed.  You can rationalize that others wrote the books attributed to him or even the other apostles.  Amazing how Christianity grew and exploded from a non-person that didn't exist isn't it?

Well to each his own but as for me I not only believe Jesus existed but I believe He was and IS just who He said He Was and IS and that is God, our Savior and Messiah.  I not only believe it I'm extremely confident of it and what is even more unbelievable is I have REASON sufficient enough for me to believe it without doubts or need to have some physical or material reinforcement.  

The evidence for Jesus is robust.
