Jank dear,

I'm calling you out on this statement.

I've ben there many times. You are lying and I'm not liking it. Mad

I have seen one preacher on the corner selling his wares.

After all it's first Fridays. Do you not see the historical re-enactment side?

The companions you keep are ill advised.

Oh the horror to think there is no God and I will be unable to engage my friend Leonard Susskind in conversation in the hereafter.

LOL

Well buffy,

My experiences and yours are probably quite different. What I may notice you may not.

I'm sorry you don't believe me. I am not lying. I was given 3 different pamphlets the last time I went one telling about how we can tell its the end times and a couple that just had verses on one side and the name of the church on the other.

I am always polite and just take them. Smiler

I hope you get to talk to your old friend. I just don't think it will happen. I have been wrong before so who knows. Smiler

Jank dear,

Three pamphlets ? Hardly a gauntlet. Sensationalizing for an underlying purpose.

You are cautioned.

The likes of slim ,uno and Adot are bad company. They are not one of us. Ok?

‘Let go of these stones if you don’t want to drown. They keep pulling you under but you keep hanging on. If I’m ever gonna save you let go of these stones.’ [John Anderson]

Don’t feel bad about not knowing Leonard Susskind.

Professor Susskind renowned physicist and mathematician was lecturing to a class of one hundred on quantum entanglement. First lecture in a series of ten. After an hour lecture the professor remarked that he was tired and would stop for the night but would take a few questions: some female in the audience raised her hand and was recognized by the professor in a way that only he can do. It is always as if the person is about to ask the most profound question ever invented by mankind and he would be the first privileged to take a stab at answering it. The crowd along with the professor awaited for what seemed to be an eternity;
She then asked “what did you say your name was?”

The professor stared at her for a moment in shock. Being the genius he is it occurred to him , it seemed, his stare was unwarranted at this woman’s expense. The professor dropped his head and starred at the notes on his desk in front of him as if looking for some response. He then looked up at the girl and politely replied: “Leonard Suss-kind or Suss-kend; whichever. It doesn’t matter.

I say all this to say: When the mannerisms of a great man speak equally as loud as his genius you are privileged to sit at his feet.

Leonard is an atheist candidate and a great one. I wish our atheist candidates would shut up and listen rather than hinder the efforts of great scientists such as Leonard Susskind.

Three seemed like a lot to me. I just wanted to walk down the street and look at the wares. To have been stopped 3 times because someone wanted to share their religion with me was 3 more times than was necessary. I know where the churches are located. I haven't lived under a rock all my life. I can't imagine stopping people on the street to try and talk to them about becoming an atheist. Talk about sensationalizing for the underlying purpose!

I did think the name Leonard Susskind looked familar, but to tell you the truth I thought it was a music reference. Big Grin

I think you have given me links to some of his work in the past.

Why do you worry so much about the atheist? I have never met one that had an evil agenda. I am sure they are out there, but I haven't seen one on here yet. I might not always agree with how they get their point across, but if I let that stop me from interacting and discussing things with them, I probably wouldn't be having this discussion with you either. Jank dear,

I would gladly sacrifice my ever discussing anything with you again if I thought it would rid you of these three ‘stubs’ of which ‘citation is needed’ .

LOL, Jank! Ain't it the truth? Big Grin

I'm almost at the point where if I hear somebody say to me "Have a blessed day" one more time all you're gonna hear is "Have a BL-*PUNCH!* (um...ith there an orthodontitht in the houthe?)

We got ordained preachers, mail-order preachers, internet-certified preachers, and folks who just claim to be preachers.....Where the heck are all the sinners if everybody's preachin'? LOL.

Hey, NSNS...Is that "Jesus Saves" billboard out on 72 east just up the road from the one that advertises BUDWEISER and in between that one and the other one that says "Help a friend GET OFF DRUGS?"

I would think that if everybody was so durned blessed and happy that they wouldn't NEED drugs!??!
