I plan on being there. Roger, you need to stop laying the blame at the feet of GWB. He spent money, fighting a war that some did not want but did manage to keep off of our soil while at the same time adding more and more to the deficit, and this new administration is trying everything in their power to outspend him. That is the problem, no one in Washington actually thinks that we hold them responsible. Eight years from now are you going to be saying the same thing about the bills which Obama is running up? or will you still be blaming GWB? It is time that the people of this country stop worrying about their party affiliation and start worrying about what each party is doing to their country. Right now the Dems have control and they are steering us for a bigger piles of rocks that the former administration. i for one don;t want myself nor my children on the ship when it finally hits the rocks.

You are so full of it. Who is spending the second half of TARP, who is spending the Spledulous money (789 billion), who has a 3.5 trillion dollar budget?
Waters, Bush is gone. Obama won, remember, its is ball game now.
The TEA parties are about responsible spending by the government, not an Obama bashing.
Never mind. You only see and hear what you want to.

NYC is our soil,we were hit
Want blame? Then lay it on the altar of the free trade and deregulation fetishists of the DLC, and the more odious Republic (if the Democratic Party can be termed the Democrat Party, then tit for tat ought to be required) Members of Congress and especially the koolaid swallowed whole, served tidy by Phil Gramm, the AEI and Heritage and Hoover and Cato Institutes.

Blame it on modern tulipomania, i.e., California, Nevada, Arizona, and Florida real estate bubbles. Blame it on bad loans touted by everyone when people could not be reasonably expected to pay and yet given them, with a cash cut going to each and every hand it touched.

Don't want to have regulation of anything or pay taxes, there is always Somalia -- you only have to worry about having more firepower than the neighboring gang/warlord/whatever they have there.

Is there the slightest evidence the President is going to "de-arm" [sic] (we always used "disarm" ourselves, as it does not hit on spell check) the military or the populace? Only in Crazy Compound Conspiracyland, where the Christian president is a secret Muslim and a Communist and possibly a Kenyan by birth! That must be why he took Communion Sunday at St. Thomas on Lafayette Square and is trying to rescue the very capitalist entities of international banking.

Tea Party? I do prefer my crazy out in the open, but not too close, so I shall pass. Plus I shall be doped up tomorrow before my infusion for the NH lymphoma -- keeps me from convulsing, but not so strong as what Mr. Limbaugh preferred, just some Benadryl and Tylenol PM.

I've already had three cups before dark, how daring! Do I dare to eat a peach?
Don't try that crap on me Waters. We were hit because slick willie did not take out Osama Bin dodo when he had 5 chances. Bush kept us from being hit again for 8 years against all odds and many were saying we would be hit again in less than a year. You can get down on your knees and be thankful for the PATRIOT ACT THAT HAS SAVED MANY LIVES. Obama even extended it so he's finally getting it.
One loss of life is too many. Ask Clinton why he did not stop it. You want to play the BDS game? I'm not going there.
You on ignore now, I don't have time for this BS.

OK, simple question, have we been hit 'again'?

Remember that when Obama de-arms the US and we are attacked.

Hell how many times do we need hit? Is THREE THOUSAND dead NOTHING to you....It is sad and COLD HEARTED you view those 3 thousand lives as NOTHING

Just so you'll be happy, we're well on our way to being hit again under the leadership of the defacrats who even refuse to call the terrorists, "terrorists."

That would tickle you, would it not? Hoping are we?

racistasasnake you don't know how stupid that statement is but I would be willing to bet that you were one of the thousands of anti-Americans who cheered each time some of our soldiers were killed just to make Bush look bad. Deny it if you like but we know your kind. It shows in every post.
I doubt she was. I think she's a good step away from Beternu or his ilk in that respect.

In that vein, though, a tea party? The original "tea party" participants risked torture and execution when they did their thing in Boston Harbor. There's no risk here, unless you believe in black helicopters. I think the tea party has the potential to be a rocking good time in some places, but in the long run no one will really care, nor will anything be really changed.

Small risk, small reward. Is anyone on this forum truly ready to take the steps to radically change the government? I sorta doubt it; it's simply not that bad. Today.

Tomorrow? Who knows? But there may come a day when you may have to make the choice between standing up and kneeling down. I'm hoping it never comes to that.

Snakie, come on, you're better than that.
OK, BDS apparently eats away brain cells permanently.

It was a taunt that clearly worked.

As I have stated before, the BDS has passed. I rarely even give the man a thought - as should be evident by the fact that I never mention former President Bush (gave it up for Lent).

I do notice the ODS which has clearly become epidemic in some quarters.

Why a taunt?
Joking about lives is what got me so angry with Waters. I don't know what is wrong in his head and I have no intention of finding out.
If you think that the US going down a pacifist road will make us safer, I'm going to start my bunker.

Clearly you are incapable of accepting that very often those with whom you ally yourself are sometimes extreme and offensive. I can accept that.

I think it is pure hyperbole to suggest that the U.S. is headed down a "pacifist road". There are many different paths and just as many ways to look at the map we use to travel them. To suggest that there is a black or white view of foreign policy is not realistic. "Dig a bunker"? Kind of brings to mind a mid 20th century, wild-eyed, reactionary waiting for "the end".

Oh, God. If this is representative of the "tea-bagger", the event is already marginalized.

Your vile nasty response does not change the fact that uncontrolled social spending ruined this country. I for one am in favor of a flat tax rate. Everyone pays the same percentage of tax. That way the politicians can't take advantage of the dimwitted voters by telling them the rich ain't payin' their fare share.

It would pay you to remember that you are talking about your fellow Americans. As long as you talk like an angry, raving, lunatic expect nothing less than exactly what you dish out coming right back at you.
Have some compassion for the Queen Snake, its spring and they are at their most venemous and itchy to shed their skins. Plus she counts six lawyers as her best friends. I see a congressman referred to the Botox Princess Pelosi as "means as a snake"! Even Queen Snake should feel insulted.

The 169th Special Operations Regiment (Aviation)and its black helicopters (really a very dark green) are mostly deployed to Afghanistan, so no worries, there.
It is unfortunate that another thread degenerated into name calling and such. I don't plan on attending an event tomorrow but I do uphold the right of people to protest. Let's be thankful that we all have that freedom. And while some may not agree at least others will be heard.

I don't believe the degradation of our economy stands on a single event or person. I do hope it is a cyclical event and we have taken a momentary major dive. I expect we will recover in some form or fashion and a lot of people will want to take credit.
"Plus she counts six lawyers as her best friends."

Actually, they are family. Two are in family law, one condo law (fascinating), one bond law and the rest are tax/estate. It is usually those who have been indicted, divorced, convicted or questioned by lawyers who despise them the most. As my grandfather (an estate attorney) once said: "Lawyers are regarded with suspicion or even hated until they are needed. When you need one they become your best friend".
