Those are the alarm bells sounding. Republicans are pushing our nation off an economic cliff—and we need all of us, our neighbors, family, and friends for a national demonstration of power.

At noon on Tuesday—whether there's a deal in place or if we're about to default on our nation's bills—we're protesting at hundreds of GOP offices around the country. We'll show our outrage at their plan to protect the super-rich and tax-dodging corporations—all while millions of Americans remain jobless.

We'll gather in front of our Republican senators' and representatives' offices to demand they stop playing dangerous political games and do what's right for America. Can you make it out?

Here's the event information:

Who: All of us in the American Dream movement
Where: Rep. Mo Brooks's District Office (in Tuscumbia)
When: Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at 12:00 PM

Today, President Obama restated his request to the American people—asking them to "let Congress know" how they feel.1 This is our opportunity to demand that Republicans in Congress support a plan that works for the American people—not just the rich and corporations.

Again, will the blindfolds and earplugs be furnished, or should the sheeple bring their own?

Beautiful. What was it you said about people that didn't use the correct names? Uh huh, that's what I thought.

When I do it, it is a typo. You do it on purpose. Nicie try.

How is he on "my" side when he wants to take everything we work for and give it to people that have never worked a day in their life, unless you call standing in a government give away line "working".

Well, your statement is untrue. That you believe what you said is the problem. You are out of touch with reality. Your knowledge base seems to be Faux News talking points.

Joshua,

As you can tell from the above posts displaying the lack of civil discourse and intelligent debate, you might not want to invite too many participants from this forum to any meeting where rational thought and ideas are shared.

There is only so much oxygen in a room.

Nice try though and as I told you, there are LOTS of lies, misinformation and just plain old stupidity to combat on this forum.

One day you will read what other people post. I can't tell you the last time I watched Fox News because it's been so long I can't remember. Seems like it was right before that liberal witch E.D. Hill left, but it could have been a few times after that. Now that said, we are in business, we deal with the public every day all across the country and in some other parts of the world. Yes we do know what is going on and we also know people are getting fed up.

You tell me who you want to help-a sick person, (and I mean ill, not a drug addict or alcoholic), an elderly person, or one of the freeloaders that are here illegally draining our system dry, or people born here that as stated before haven't done one day's work in their lives? There are generations of people living in government housing and getting government aid. Why do we allow that?  It seems to me that you don't have any idea what goes on in the real world.

Comments trolls are the bane of most sites; where as the vast majority of people may never comment on a post,  those that do usually fall into one of three categories.

Legitimate commenters, who have something thoughtful to say and/ or add to the conversation (for and against), link spammers who comment on the off chance they might get some traffic as a consequence of their comment (sometimes these fall into the first category..hard to tell) and trolls,

( as in YOUR case) who make it their business to criticize anything written and the people who wrote it, in some sort of sad attempt at self validation by being nasty towards others for the sake of it. Like taking drugs, trolling is a poor mistress that demands more and more to feed the self satisfying addiction that props up their self esteem.

I think the statement is more that you have no reply. Get back to me when and if you actually have to start earning a living.

It is not my fault that most posters on newspaper forums are uniformed nitwits. I am just looking for a little amusement. I have a lot of free time and this amuses me until it becomes boring. You add a great deal to the latter.
