Sky News Australia aired a segment savagely mocking American media for fawning over President Joe Biden in comparison to how they treated former President Trump during his term. They called it “appalling to watch.”

The media outlet pointed out that the utter lack of self-awareness on the part of the media when it comes to Democrats versus Republicans is laughable and embarrassing. During Sky News’ “Kenny on Media” Friday, Australian anchors and commenters tore into America’s leftist media with abandon in regards to coverage of their “beloved” Biden at the G7 Summit.

Host Jack Houghton took special notice of CNN’s coverage of Biden in 2021 versus Trump’s in 2018. The differences in the presentation of the two leaders could not be more glaring. CNN claimed that then-President Trump opposed every world leader in attendance, while Biden got along with everyone and was the perfect leader of the free world, Houghton suggested.

Sky News noted the “light and positive coverage” afforded Biden and denied Trump with CNN calling the 2018 G7, attended by Trump, “G6 versus 1.”

“They drive to give the illusion that [Biden] doesn’t have any disputes with any of these international leaders,” the anchor remarked. Another quipped, “Give Biden his due, he got to the top of the Air Force One steps without tripping over his shoelaces.” CNN has been experiencing plummeting ratings ever since Trump left office. They have hit record lows. When they stopped reporting non-stop on the evils of Trump, their base appeared to lose interest. Now, they are scrambling for ratings while gushing over every move Biden makes.

Commenter Sophie Elsworth noted how very fortunate Biden was to have such a loyal media in his corner. She posited it was sure to make the president more popular due to his supporters in the media and astutely alluded to the propaganda of it all.

“It’s really quite appalling to watch,” commented Elsworth. “And what happened to straight news reporting which doesn’t seem to be existent there?”

Host Jack Houghton said that it’s really not journalism… the media are in actuality stenographers.

“Trump can do no right,” stated Nick Cater of the Menzies Research Center. “There are considerable question marks over Biden’s foreign affairs policies, they’re not proven yet.”

He went on to make the point that Trump was a strong leader when it came to foreign affairs. Cater mentioned not only China but the Abraham Accords in the Middle East as examples. In contrast, Biden has not demonstrated that he is able to harness foreign policy and project any kind of strength at all abroad. He questioned whether Biden had the “nerve” or “confidence” to handle foreign affairs on the world stage.

“I would be much happier to see Donald Trump at the G7, I think,” Cater bluntly concluded.

Between the obviously biased coverage by the media in America for Biden and the Democrats, and the president’s gaffes at the G7 on foreign policy, media outlets abroad are laughing and wondering exactly what is going on in the United States these days.
