As more and more states realize that they made promises they are not going to be able to keep, it will be interesting to see if the national government has to come to their aid and bail them out. Places like Illinois are losing citizens by the day due to increasing taxation and cesspools like Chicago where you are more likely to get shot than to meet someone who would support gun ownership and responsibility. With other states like California not far behind, I think we are moving closer and closer to a civil war. These states have huge numbers of government employees who are drawing huge pensions and benefits based upon employment in the 70's and 80's. I personally do not see how they will be able to pay for these without breaking the bank.

Hillary in 2016?  Why not?  We've already had one "girly man" serving in office for the past 7 years, we might as well give her chance as well!

I'm not sure about the term "civil war" but I'm sure there will be violence when the people on the goobermint reservation have their rice bowls broken. Since a high percentage of those people have prison time or have beat, shot, stabbed, or bludgeoned their insignificant other; most of those people are federally forbidden to own arms but many of them probably do have them. Even if they couldn't get guns they can go to a gas station and get gasoline, so it's a sure bet that cities will burn.

Pension funds are the weak point for Illinois and other states.  The leadership of the public unions and politicians are the main culprits.  Politicians neglected to full fund pensions, spending the funds on some new gewgaw for votes.  Union leaders should have screamed bloody murder to their members. BTW, union leadership usually have a pension fund separate from their members-- paid by the members and administered by the leaders.
