Any recommendations on beer kits?

This is my recommendation:

and you'll need a couple of these....

Should take you about 30 minutes or so to get all the ingredients together - once combined the results are almost instant, no waiting around for weeks. I have found that this works better in tropical or subtropical climates. Try it and let me know how it all works out.

You might check with Nash. I recall him saying that he was brewing some of his own these days. Smiler

Yeah... I think he got a kit for Christmas, so he should have a batch ready for us about now. Nash's Private Label Home Brew! Oh wait... was he brewing his own or did he say he was growing his own?

Eeker Big Grin Cool
I know a man here in Ga . that makes Moonshine Stills out of Copper and they are beautiful .
He made one for the Moonshine Fest here .

But then they got to scared to display it, as it is against the law to own a working still . Razzer

This is a pic of a bird feeder he made and sold for over $4,000.00. It is over 7 foot tall and so pretty . Notice the Pineapple on top . he is very good . He also makes Fence Post Caps custom made .

Mr. Beer is to home brew what an EZ Bake oven is to fine dining.

You don't actually need a kit. Just a 5 gallon bucket, some tubing and a good recipe.
Mr. Beer is just a cheap plastic barrel and cheap ingredients. Cheap ingredients is what will affect the taste of the product.
If you want to do it right, look here:

http://www.heartshomebrew.com/home_brew_beer.cgi

It's slightly pricier than a Mr. Beer but you won't be able to drink the swill from a Mr. Beer kit anyway. With that said, the kit is of much better quality and you can buy more ingredients as you make new batches. Therefore, in the long run, it's a heck of a lot better bang for your buck.
They have good customer support, too. So if you decide to brew some porter or ambers, but don't know how, call them. They tell you and send you everything you need.

I tried on the bikini part but found I didn't look nearly as good as the one in the picture. Can I just order the pre-made chick instead?

Also, it turns out the shipping charges to get that beach shipped here is a little steep. Dang.

GoFish,

I need to have a word with you. Clear your schedule.
