A Cautionary Tale (VIDEO)

Source: Before and after Sharia Law: A cautionary tale – The Rebel

A video is currently making the rounds on YouTube that might just be the saddest thing I’ve seen in recent memory. It’s also a profound cautionary tale about the dangers of Islamofascism.

The video is a montage of amateur film clips from Afghanistan, Iran and Libya beginning with clips from the 1960s and ‘70s showing what the Islamic republics looked like just a few decades ago while the latter part shows them now.

As you’ll see, the contrast of then and now is stunning, and tragic.

The cautionary part of this tale is that a society ruled by Sharia law doesn’t necessarily turn immediately, rather, it’s often a gradual process.

It manifests bit by bit, inch by inch, beginning with little things like M-103, the motion that condemns Islamophobia and allowing gender-apartheid mini-mosques in public schools, and taxpayer-funded segregated swimming pools.

All aided and abetted by useful idiots on the left who bend over backwards to offer “reasonable accommodation” to those that embrace an ideology that is neither reasonable nor accommodating.

And that’s where we find ourselves today. Instead of standing up for western exceptionalism and western values with pride, we’re cursed with political elites who are embarrassed by it.

In the guise of misguided appeasement, these people are only too happy to make the west more like the east.

Slowly, the line moves then one day – maybe a few years from now, maybe a few decades, you look out the window and say, “What the hell happened to my country?”
