I'm sure Puf didn't mention any names to be nice and let by gones out of the subject.
I would have thought with all the accusations vick was once throwing around she would have already gotten rid of it by now?

Her keeping it as long as she has has been a very nice way of showing her appreciation for all the hard work Manda put into creating it for her Wink
The avatar is a tribute to Manda's talent Smiler

Thank you Puf, 2 Each, Tweety, Howard, Gus, Just, Total, Dixie, and anyone else I may have missed, but didn't mean to, on the compliments of my work.

Up until recently, making things like that for people that I enjoy, has always brought me an immense amount of happiness for doing something for someone else. I've been making animated graphics for people, for more than 6 years now. I can honestly say, there have been many. In that time, I have never had someone that I've made something for treat me as the last person did.

Unfortunately, the last situation, has made me hesitant to make any more for people here. To make something to specification of the person, who wants to wear it, can take hours to draw with a mouse, not including animating the graphic. When I make something like that, I put a lot of heart and thought into each pixel that I draw.

Since, then, I have reserved making things for people I know, very, very, very well. I'm sorry to those that may want something unique and handmade. Maybe, eventually, I'll start making them again for people I don't know very well or those that I thought I did know well. It's just too soon right now.

I really do appreciate all the kind words though. And, the smiles that it has brought, no matter what, has been worth it.

that pic of the nurse reminded me of something.

Nurses used to dress in professional clothes. Probably less comfy than the stretchy cotton duds they wear these days, usually with printed icons of pop culture like Tweety Bird and Spongebob.

I still respect nurses, even if they no longer dress like they expect it, but I wonder how many people think they are dressed as though they are going to assemble alternators all day?

DF
Well, Deep, if it's any comfort, most Intensive Care Units won't allow the nurses to wear patterns. Many patients in ICU remain there for days, with no windows and not knowing if it's day or night. They frequently get what is called ICU psychosis. If that happens, they can think they're being attacked by Scooby Do, so no patterns are allowed.

Nah, we don't assemble alternators all day. Mostly we stick our hands up peoples' butts and dig out poop and/or stick long plastic tubing in their goobers, suction out thick secretions from their throats, and poke needles in various and sundry places.

The prints on the scrubs hide the ick better than those starched white dresses. Also, the hats tend to fall off when you're trying to pry apart the legs of a 400 pound woman to put in a catheter.
