Storms in Huntsville area most likely required that incoming flights circle out that way so they could await landing clearance at the Huntsville airport. Have seen several in that area, Cherokee, and eastern Mississippi here lately during storms.

What kind of jet and how low. The military as all kind of low altitude training areas in this part of the state.
