To all my Facebook Friends: This is a small sample of the antagonism Christians face when posting on the TimesDaily Religion Forum. And, believe it or not, this man tells me he is a Christian -- even though he does not believe the Bible is the Written Word of God; even though he has not been in any church in many, many years (other than possibly for weddings and funerals);even though he does not believe in prayer; even though he believes that, if Christians want to pray, we should pray only in a closed and hidden room -- but, never in church, never in our homes at meal time, and especially never to offer a prayer of thanksgiving for our meal in a public restaurant.
Yet, believe it or not -- he is not the most antagonistic Forum Friend. However, the others will readily admit to being atheist, agnostic, or just vanilla flavored non-believers -- while he insists that he is a Christian, but, just can't be bothered with all that Christian stuff.
And, folks like him are why I believe God led me to the TimesDaily Religion Forum in January 2007, and why I have been there daily since then -- for someone must shine the Light of the Gospel upon such darkness. It always amazes me that those who do not believe in God, or those who do not want to be bothered by God -- will chose to hang out where Christians congregate to share our Christian faith.
Please do not get me wrong. There are many other Christian believers on the TimesDaily Religion Forum; but most who hold to a conservative Christian theology do not get into the apologetic aspects of posting. Many just read, others do comment. But, when the stones of atheism and sister disbeliefs begin to fall all around us, they walk away rather than contend with the attacks. Personally, when a discussion begin to deteriorate into a "spitting contest" I, too, will walk away and begin a new discussion.
Just recently I posted the photo below of health care workers praying and asked him, "Crusty, if someone you love is having an operation and you see the doctors and nurses doing this, would you join them? Or would you tell them to stop?"
Even though I have posted this photo and question twice; he has not answered. Personally, if my loved one was facing an operation and I saw the medical team doing this before beginning the operation -- I would praise God for such people. But, then, I do know that God answers prayers, and I know that, in times such as that -- He is in control. God bless, Bill

As far as the second part in red, you know better.
Thank you for answering my question - what would YOU do?
How do you justify your position Biblically? Jesus was wrong? We shouldn't follow his example?
