I might note that the "Fourth Estate" has finally noticed something:

I'm not sure when things would be stable enough for the presidential entourage to go visit without impacting emergency operations, but I sort of remember that the press excoriated Bush for his fly over two days later. Obama can't seem to release his putter from his hands even now.

The more golf and other distractions that keep him from the Oval Office during the next five months, the better.  Its simply a matter of damage control.
