for the sake of argument, let us stipulate that we are discussing a married couple of one hetrosexual male and one hetrosexual female.
they are a normal healthy adult couple, eager and curious and the physical side of their marriage.

According to the bible, is there anything they are disallowed or forbidden to do in the bed room? (further stipulating that they are both open minded and willing to try anything once if it might make their partner happy.)

i've acctually met women in my 40 odd years that told me that women wern't supposed to enjoy sex. it was only for procreation, and if a woman got anything out of it it mean the devil had touched her soul.
(i'm not making this up. it was two women, sisters, that i worked with for a time. they scared me. there were others, but thes two were worst case.)
the only acceptable position was standard man on top missionary. anything else was satan's handiwork. when i started to ask them about more oral options, they told me i was sick and disgusting, and never spoke to me again. they also didn't wear make up, didn't cut their hair, even to trim and shape it, and always wore dresses or skirts. they also smelled slightly odd and were as pretty as roadkill, but that's not really relevent. i don't know if they were married, nor do i know what flavor of fundy nutters they were.

i've also talked to a church of christ sunday school class leader who told all of us that day that as long as the couple was married, and as long as both people were in full agreement, then absoloutly nothing the couple could imagine was off limits. he told us god invented sex and make it fun to help populate the world, to help us grow closer as a couple and because he loved us and wanted us to be happy.

i kinda liked him. i didn't see him again after that class. at all. i never saw him in that church again.
curious.

and i've met and talked to people who believe every possible option in between those two extremes....
so...
what's everyone think? with the previous stipulations enacted, are there limits on bedroom antics? or is it purly a free for all, all bets are off event?

and can you quote a line or two from whatever scripture you follow that you base your belief on, if applicable, so we can try and follow your reasoning?

I realize your questions are for a Christian, which I'm not, but my husband is a Christian man and he & I have never denied each other anything.

I believe that as long as a husband & wife is in agreement, then nothing is off limits. Have you ever read Song of Solomon? If not, you should. Smiler

In 1 Corinthians, it speaks of not depriving one another, but it doesn't say what you should/shouldn't do.
from link "The story tells about a beautiful young vineyard keeper who loves a young shepherd who pastures his sheep close by. However, rich and powerful King Solomon comes to the country to check on his vineyards. When he sees the Shulammite maiden, he is smitten with her beauty and begins to woo her aggressively and brings her to his camp. The young girl is caught in the middle. Solomon's prestige, wealth, and power tempt her, but her love for the Shepherd continually nags at her. In a dilemma, she agonizes over who to marry--the Shepherd or King Solomon. Thus, the Song of Solomon uses an exciting triangle of personalities to expose the differences between true love and sensuous love.

It is written sort of like a shakespearian play would read; poetry yet designed to be read by characters in a play

Young Woman:

Kiss me and kiss me again,
for your love is sweeter than wine.

How fragrant your cologne;
your name is like its spreading fragrance.

No wonder all the young women love you!
Take me with you; come, let’s run!

The king has brought me into his bedroom.

Young Women of Jerusalem:

How happy we are for you, O king.
We praise your love even more than wine.

Young Woman:

How right they are to adore you.
I am dark but beautiful,
O women of Jerusalem—
dark as the tents of Kedar,
dark as the curtains of Solomon’s tents.
Don’t stare at me because I am dark—
the sun has darkened my skin.
My brothers were angry with me;
they forced me to care for their vineyards,
so I couldn’t care for myself—my own vineyard.

Tell me, my love, where are you leading your flock today?
Where will you rest your sheep at noon?
For why should I wander like a prostitute[b]
among your friends and their flocks?

Young Man"

If you don’t know, O most beautiful woman,
follow the trail of my flock,
and graze your young goats by the shepherds’ tents.
You are as exciting, my darling,
as a mare among Pharaoh’s stallions.
How lovely are your cheeks;
your earrings set them afire!
How lovely is your neck,
enhanced by a string of jewels.
We will make for you earrings of gold
and beads of silver.

Young Woman:

The king is lying on his couch,
enchanted by the fragrance of my perfume.

My lover is like a sachet of myrrh
lying between my breasts.

He is like a bouquet of sweet henna blossoms
from the vineyards of En-gedi.

Young Man:

How beautiful you are, my darling,
how beautiful!
Your eyes are like doves.

Young Woman:

You are so handsome, my love,
pleasing beyond words!
The soft grass is our bed;
fragrant cedar branches are the beams of our house,
and pleasant smelling firs are the rafters.

well.. yes and no.. it was indeed specifically aimed at followers of the bible, but i'm interested in every ones view on it. does the book of mormon restrict sex? how about the koran?
i already have my opinions on what the bible says about it, but others might have differing opinions.

i know, right?
it's why i went ahead and started this one. for once, we have an aspect of religion that we haven't discussed to death.

Nagel, I doubt if any of you atheist candidates have ever had the time on your hands to satisfy a woman.

It would be hard to do while humping on one another.

Now you take us believers; we can make a woman shout hallelujah.

I'm atheist and I made a few women believe in God. They told Jesus they were "on the way" to paraphrase.

I agree Blue and Cage,

I don't think to much about what others do in the bedroom. Unless they want to involve me in it...then it would take a lot more than some good weed and rum to warm me up to that kind of thing. Smiler

In the mean time...pass it this way....lets see if we can work up a give a dang. Big Grin

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Does anyone do peyote anymore? Good stuff.

I have never even seen peyote. Big Grin Really all I know about it is from the movie "The Doors" and that kind of high would scare the crap out of me. Eeker
one can hope. maybe we should start all of our threads with that in there form now on.

nah.. truth is, i figure he doesn't feel right joining in this conversation, about sex and what the bible says about it, because to have a real opinion on sex, it's nececessary to have had some sex at some point.
