As President Joe Biden goes back on his debate rebuke of executive orders as something only a "dictator" would do, Republicans need to get back to the fundamentals of legislating, Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., said Sunday.

"Right now we are in that mode where you have to play block and tackle on this," Blackburn told Fox News' "Fox & Friends."

Blackburn was speaking after Biden has signed 25 executive orders through his first full week in the White House, by far an American presidential record.

"They are watching how he is giving favors to China while restricting our freedoms," Blackburn said, adding his constituents have called Biden "Joe the job killer."

"Here's what we know: His actions this week have impacted adversely 1 million jobs, either eliminating or adversely impacting: opening the border to drug cartels, to labor gangs, to gangs, to human traffickers, sex traffickers," she said.
