OK go to the store and buy the following.
1 Reynolds cooking bag
1 Brown Gravey Mix
1 Mushroom Gravy Mix
Add about 1 cup of water in the bag
Potatoes Cattors and Onions put it all in a bag with the roast and follow the instructions.
Always moist and tender with awesome gravy and great veggies.
IF you like more gravy take the roast and veggies out. Take the liquid and set aside. Mix some oil and flour together and add liquid and more water to the consistency you like. Hope this is not very confusing but works every time for me. Mr. Mom TheSwindleMaster
Heres how i cook one,..... Reminder, i dont write recipes for a living lol.......
First i sear it in a ducth oven, both sides,..i put enough oil in bottom to cover it to sear.
Then i add water... about half the dutch oven or cover roast about an inch, inch and a half... i begin to boil... while its getting to boiling point, im cutting up veggies,... potatoes, onions and carrots...
Once you get veggies ready, throw them in... Now this is were my roast is probably different from most... i add about a half pack of beef stew mix (McCormicks) and stir,... but you can use your spices here.
After it cooks on stove for approx. 30 min., I put in oven at 350 for about two hours.... Checking water level frequently. When its almost ready, i use 1/4 cup of flour, add enough water to mix, then put it into the dutch oven with roast, veggies. This thickens up your juices and makes a gravy. I also make toast, put that on a big plate, cover with roast, veggies, gravy and eat too much.
