Read this morning where the KGB (or Russian version of the FBI) notified the FBI in 2011 that Tamerlan (the black hat bomber) was a suspicious character and was likely being involved in terrorist activities. The FBI did a cursory investigation and dismissed the case. Later that year, the CIA was notified by the "KGB" that he was likely involved in terrorost's activity. The CIA sent a request to the FBI for information, and since the FBI had already closed the book, the CIA dismissed it. Later Tamerlan flew to Russia, and the computers highlighted his name, BUT because the FBI felt like he was no threat, it was dismissed. When he returned to the US, the system, because of the previous findings, did not even flag him for questioning.
It is disturbing to me, that this administration has become so lax in their treatment of potential terrorists, and the fact that they do not want to call them "terrorists" at all. They fail to heed the warnings of another country's security services, and then their actions result in the deaths of three people, and numerous injuries.
It is time that political correctness be ****ed in this country. It is time to start calling a spade a spade. There is no doubt as to why it took the authorities no time to identify these criminals, it was because the information was already there. Someone dropped the ball. Much like Benghazi, where our leaders did not want to identify the true threat, we have sit idly by while those who wish us harm go about their deadly ways right in our faces.
Hopefully these events will open the eyes of the some of those who are too scared to offend. While they ponder this however, think about this. The mother of the criminal who was killed is blaming US for taking her children. She on the other hand escaped to Russia to prevent persecution for shoplifting, while her son drew a welfare check, married a young girl who worked and provided for him, and he never paid a dime in child support. Is this the kind of people we should be opening our doors to in this country? I think not.
