Separate degrees, or a double major? I had noticed your previous signature reference.

Wouldn't that be Bachelor of Business Administration? I didn't think UNA had B.S. degrees for the College of Business.
Smart chick,

I also had a double major in two very separate fields. No offense is intended by this, particularly as I'm in the same boat as you, but universities generally consider the one diploma (BS, BA, BBA, etc.) as one degree. Yes, there are two majors, but it only credits as one degree if they were acknowledged and credited at the same time. The difference lies in the credit hours of those who go, get a degree in whatever, and then return and get another one.

I do sometimes hear people refer to the double major as the equivalent of having two degrees, and I understand the concept of that thinking. However, the academy sees the two situations as being different. That's not to say one is more prestigious than the other, just that they have different meanings. I agree that you're a smart chick alright, so I thought you'd want to know. It's not really relevant, just information.

Maybe you changed majors as many times as I did! Smiler

I did. I went from accounting to finance to economics and finance. At least I stayed in the business department or it would have been a life sentence for me.
