The forcast for Nome, Alaska is 20*. the average for this time of year is 13*. The high in Philadelphia, PA is 31* today. The average is 42*. What's your point? Confused
Most major climate shifts prior to our race's sentience have been blamed on cataclysmic events; meteor impacts, massive volcanic events, etc. Usually these events result in a global cooling period despite the obvious warming effects that they have on regional climates. We've seen some small examples of these events within the last few centuries: Tunguska and Krakatoa come to mind.
