Their sign says they have been in business for 40 years and they are located in a newer Restaurant just across the street (Hwy 43) from their old, original, restaurant but when it comes to your Basic hamburger and fries plate it was a very good lunch for a decent price.
I had the Caliburger with some apprehension because I assumed it meant California Burger and I had visions of some meatless vegetable burger but in essence what their Caliburger is was just a larger meat patty than their regular burger. I had mine with lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle and mustard but compared to the fast food places it was a welcome deviation and was cooked perfectly. They use fresh meat, not a frozen patty and cook it (start it) on a flat grill, like McDonalds but then to finish it off move it over to a chargrill, like Burger King.
Their catfish plates are also good but I prefer the burger.
