Has anyone checked out Da Hideaway in Tuscumbia? It is awesome! The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is to die for! a 1920's gansta feel, the employees get to choose from a wardrobe room as to what they wear that night for service. With flapper dresses and all! If you have not given it a try, you are missing an experiance for sure! The owner are awesome and there to welcome you in. it is located on Main street in the same building as coldwater book store, alone the entrance to Spring park, and if you enjoy your dinner out on the balcany, you can get a glimps of the water in the park. go check it out and let me know what you think!

There is a extremely difficult barrier to successful food places in Tuscumbia and not all is the managements fault.
In any business you must have a certain amount of foot traffic to support your base expenses. The weekends are when the profits are made. Tuscumbia does not have that foot traffic and that is a poison pill for most retail outlets. Just look at the number of businesses that have opened up and closed within months. The Down Town Tuscumbia area is almost a ghost town after 5 PM. There are so many empty stores, if I was a property owner, I would let someone come in for free for a period of time, just to have it occupied.
Until the City Fathers figure out you must have events to bring people traffic on a regular bases. I have been saying this for 11 years, the City has to hire a full person to do nothing but get events coming to the downtown area.
